Aroha ki te tangata, ahakoa ko wai, ahakoa nō hea.
Give your love to people, no matter who they are, no matter where they're from.
The Tāhuhu is the central beam in the wharenui. This one is decorated by Ngā Tai Aroha. They are all female forms symbolising the strength and courage of all the women of the tribe who promoted and maintained the values of the people.
